Live Code in the Cinema

Live Coding Sessions #4

↑ by Sebastian Pappalardo ↑ by Sebastian Pappalardo

Live Coding Sessions is back! This time with a night program together with Plokta Festival. We are super excited to present an all-out night program. For this edition, Cinema of the Dam’D, the cinema located at OT301, will turn into a club for code-based moving image and music.

Live Coding events, often known as AlgoRaves, are evenings where the music and visuals are coded live. The DJ and VJ are coders that adjust tone, pitch, rhythm, image etc. by modifying code and creating algorithmic compositions. Typically the process of writing code is made visible by projecting it live in the audience space, with ways of visualising the code as an area of active research and performance.

The evening is created and curated with the Live Coding Sessions team: Saskia Freeke, Klasien van de Zandschulp and Sabrina Verhage. More about the program t.b.a!
