By Mathew Kneebone By Mathew Kneebone

Dig deeper into Plokta’s theme with this special program of exclusive talks, performances and screenings. Getting to the heart of the festival, artists and researchers present and perform works considering different aspects of the Hidden Life of Technology. Matthew Kneebone kick-starts proceedings with a lecture on how visible technologies have become invisible throughout history. Donna Verheijden then takes things digital with her video essay “Eye Trick the I”, exploring how identities form today through visual culture and social media. The artist follows up with a unique performance created interactively with the Plokta audience. Finally, Graham Kelly premieres, live, his final instalment to series Skull Island, in which he unearths the ideological histories hidden beneath generations of King Kong movies.
