As part of the shorts program Gamepads, Plokta presents:
A shimmering snapshot of urban and natural environments, Ross Meckfessel’s hallucinogenic short looks curiously at modern ways of looking. Cities, coastlines and forests are at turns rendered as digital spaces and Google street-views, shot close with flaneur-like detachment, or spied from a drone’s eye view. This shows a planet at once intimately familiar and unnatural – impossible to be seen by the naked eye. Musical in its cross-cutting of perspectives, textures and technologies, The Air of Earth in Your Lungs breathes in its surroundings deeply, and breathes out a symphony of film grain and pixels.
